In my short life, there are many experiences that could qualify as life changing. Every new experience was, at one time or another, the first experience. For good or bad, each instance changed the course that my life has taken, but the most transformative experience was being accepted into honours.

I was excited about doing research more than having to do my modules because of online learning, surprisingly I enjoyed my modules. I enjoyed the fact that I had to focus on one module at a time, instead of doing all four at the same time like in my undergraduate.

I can’t say if this year is hard or not, they are times I am relaxed but other times having sleepless nights chasing deadlines. What I can confidently say is that I am enjoying my honours year because I am learning so many things and I feel like I am getting closer to my dream. As much as this may sound weird but I feel like this pandemic gave me the best learning experience.

The only bitter experience I faced this year is being separated from my friends and moving to another residence. I really hope second semester will be exciting as first semester.
