Shuuu! What a journey it has been. When I started my honours year, I honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was a rocky start, full of uncertainty, self-doubt and a lot of learning curves. I promised myself to do it, even if it meant doing it scared. And I am.
The first two months were difficult, being so far from home and in an unfamiliar place had me emotionally drained, but slowly and surely, I found my footing. The shift from undergraduate to postgraduate studies was more intense than I expected. Having to juggle coursework and conduct research felt overwhelming at times but it taught me resilience and discipline. I must say I have grown, not just academically, but personally too. I am proud of how far I’ve come.
One of the highlights of this year has been the people I’ve met along the way. Some classmates became friends, and those friendships made this journey more bearable and enjoyable. Whether it was venting about deadlines, celebrating small wins or helping each other through the chaos, those connections really mattered. The course has challenged me in ways I didn’t expect and helped me realise that I am capable of much more than I give myself credit for. I am confident that the remainder of this year will go well with continued effort and perseverance.
