As I navigate the challenges of my honour’s year, I’m reminded that growth often lies just beyond the limits of comfort. This journey has been a whirlwind of intensity, pushing me to confront my academic and personal boundaries. Yet, amidst the chaos, I’ve found solace in the supportive community surrounding me.
The late nights, early mornings, and endless cups of coffee have become a familiar rhythm. There have been moments of doubt, frustration, and exhaustion, but the encouragement of my friends, peers, supervisors, and loved ones has been a constant source of strength.
Through collaborations, discussions, and shared struggles, I’ve formed bonds with incredible individuals who inspire me to persevere. Together, we’ve transformed obstacles into opportunities for growth, learning, and camaraderie. This is definitely the highlight of my honour’s year!
And the EXAMS!? The exam season almost killed me, I was literally on the verge of giving up, it felt like there was too much to study, and I didn’t have enough time to get ready. I thought I wouldn’t be able to make it. But during that hard time, a friend kept encouraging me to keep going and to do my best with the time I had left. Their support meant so much, and it helped me focus on what I could still do. In the end, I got through it all! No matter what my grades are, I’ll always be grateful.
This honours year has taught me the value of resilience, adaptability, and the power of a supportive network. As I continue this path, I’m reminded that the most valuable lessons often lie beyond the academic realm – in the relationships forged, the challenges overcome, and the person I’m becoming.
I’m grateful for this journey, though daunting at times, and I look forward to emerging stronger, wiser, and more compassionate on the other side.
